Day 1 - Arrival Cairo

Cairo

Arrive at Cairo airport, our representative will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification & portage will greet you.

From the airport, you will be transferred by a private A/C car to your hotel and overnight in Cairo hotel.

Giza

Breakfast at the hotel. Discovery of the Giza plateau famous for its pyramids including that of Cheops, the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that has survived, Khephren and Mykerinos and the enigmatic half-man half-lion Sphinx which defends the entrance to the royal tombs. then retune back to the Hotel. Free dinner. Night at the hotel.

breakfast in the Hotel then Transfer to Cairo airport for the flight to Luxor. Our representative will meet you at Luxor airport. Transfer to your Nile Cruise for check in .After lunch, you will join our tour guide to visit the Temple of Karnak, constructed over a period of more than one thousand years. We will then visit Luxor Temple, which was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and other kings. 

After the tour, return to the Nile Cruise , Dinner and overnight on board .

Energizing breakfast will be served on board. After that, we will visit Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. Our next visit of the day will be to the Temple of Deir El Bahari, constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut. On our return way to the cruise, we will visit the Colossi of Memnon, the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of king Amenhotep III. Finally, return back to the Nile cruise having the Lunch while the cruise sail toward Edfu.

Edfu

Energizing breakfast will be served on board before our full day tour. Our Nile Cruise ship will land at the location of the city of Edfu, where we will visit the Temple of Horus, constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the god Horus, the avenger of his father. After this marvelous visit, we will get back to our Nile Cruiser for lunch, rest and refresh. We will then proceed to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, established in the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman Era. Finally, you will be transferred back to your Nile cruise . Evening time, the Egyptian folklore show will be operated by the staff.

Aswan

Breakfast  . After you will prepare yourself to join your expert tour guide to explore the wonderful city of Aswan. Our first visit of the day will be to the High Dam, which was constructed by the former president, Gamal Abdel Nasser to store the water, and then generate a large volume of the electricity. We will then ride in a motorboat to visit the Temple of Philae, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman era as the cult center of the goddess Isis. After the day tour , we will drive back to our Nile cruiser, so we can enjoy the tasty lunch. Evening time is free at leisure on your own to relax on board.

You must pack all of your belongings in 2 bags: 1 backpack and 1 large soft travel bag.

1 - The backpack:
it will be useful for transporting your personal belongings during the day.
It will also serve you as hand luggage when you travel for all your fragile belongings (camera, etc.), valuables (when your accommodation does not have a safe) and for any medication you may have.
It will be in the cabin during air transport. Generally, the weight of cabin baggage is limited to 10 kg per person.

2 - The large flexible travel bag:
It must contain the rest of your belongings.

The list of clothes must be adapted according to the chosen season.

  • 1 sun hat or cap
  • 1 scarf or cheche
  • T-shirts (prefer short-sleeved t-shirts)
  • Wide, lightweight, comfortable and versatile canvas pants. For hiking, you can take a crop.
  • Socks: provide thin socks for hiking and thicker for the evening.
  • Sweaters or fleece for the evening.
  • 1 swimsuit
  • 1 pair of light hiking shoes (firm sole) to wear with socks
  • 1 pair of hiking sandals
  • 1 pair of sandals or relaxing shoes for the evening (the floors of the Dahabeya being wooden you will be asked to take off your shoes when arriving on the boat).
  • 1 pair of excellent quality sunglasses
  • 1 headlamp or flashlight 
  • Towels are provided on the Dahabeya and in the hotels, just bring your washcloths.
  • Sunscreen and lipstick

You will find comfortable beds in the cabins.

  • Your usual medications 
  • Pain medication: preferably paracetamol
  • Double skin for possible blisters
  • Mosquito repellent

A first aid kit, provided by the agency, is the responsibility of your guide.

Visa:

Visa required for Europeen travelers .You can travel to Egypt with your passport or identity card
the easiest way is when you arrive in Egypt for about 25 euros. If traveling with an ID card and purchasing the visa on arrival, provide a photo ID. Our representative will be inside the airport to facilitate your visa upon arrival and will accompany you to your hotel.

Gratuities (Tipping)

This practice is rooted in tradition, and is done as part of an exchange in appreciation of a given work. At the end of a trip, it is customary to show your satisfaction by tipping the team of sailors and guide who accompanied you during your trip. This is of course to evaluate according to the satisfaction brought. Thank you for following the advice of your guides.
